REVIEW:
'Go Go Go! This Is It' is Rip, Rig + Panic's first 45 recorded after the break up of their previous incarnation as the equally legendary THE POP GROUP. This single is as radical as The Pop Group material was, only the funk ratio is much, much higher. Featuring the vocals by a teenage Neneh Cherry, this is a monster of a record with unbelievable tribal drums, dub bass, slashing free jazz horns and piano chords topped by a scathing Cherry vocal. One of the most radical and excellent hybrid records of the period, it is completely beyond description. The B side is equally subversive and more of a rarity than the A side.
