"See you in a minute" is what Don Cherry used to say whenever he took off somewhere. Ten years ago he took off
permanently. This album celebreates him and his unique ways of making music by playing some of the songs from the days with him.
The musicians that took part in the project are Bengt Berger, Christer Bothén, Sigge Krantz and Per Tjernberg who all worked with Don and Jonas Knutsson, Christian Spering, Mats Öberg, Thomas Gustafsson and Lars Almqvist who wish they
had. Don's wife Moki and his children Neneh and Eagle-Eye appear as guests in this
project.
Don
Cherry died on October 19th, 1995. The album was launched on the 10th
anniversary of his death.
On
"Ganesh" Neneh uses lyrics from two songs she recorded
previously, "Ganapati" from the album "Kathak" by
Trilok Gurtu and "Turn My Back" from Hiroshi Fujiwara's "Nothing
Better To Do".

REVIEWS:
"...In April 2005 the Berger Knutsson Spering trio sat down to go thru old tapes from Don Cherry concerts. We picked a handfull of favourites and the musicians to play them with: Christer Bothén, Per Tjernberg and Sigge Krantz who all worked with Don, plus a few of our other favourites: Thomas Gustafsson, Mats Öberg and Lars Almqvist. Neneh and Eagle-Eye were our guests on some of the pieces. We recorded in
June, mixed in September and now we proudly release the result, See You In A Minute, on the 10th death anniversary of Don Cherry,
October 19th at a release party at Bacci in Stockholm, Sweden. The album consists of See You In A Minute, a suite to and from Don Cherry. Plus eight of the finest songs he used to play:
Moki's Saxophone / Clicky Clacky / AC/DC / Ganesh / El Corazón / Fun / Dina Kana Gina / God Is At The Door. Neneh and Eagle-Eye are singing on three of them..."
