NENEH ON WOMAN:
"Woman initially came from Johnny Dollar's head. He came up with the basic chord structure. And that is fundamentally how we write. Someone will have an idea or we'll just be in a room fiddling around together... and then one thing leads to another. And so we sort of started to write some lyrics and then John came back with like why don't we do - because the song calls for it - a kind of pisstake on It's A Man's World. And I must admit that it kind of scared the shit out of me at first because it initially felt like a very pompous thing to take on. And I would really be the last one to say that women are the better bread than man cause we are all... we are all men, human beings... But there are certain facts that we all have to look at and it was really interesting because when we started writing the song we started to look at things that were feminin, things that happened in history. So I was very weary of taking on the responsibility of something that could be perceived as a huge statement. But at the end of the day it's really just from a personal point of view."
